One student wrote a poetic line on a single sheet of paper, folded the paper so no one else could see it, and passed it to the next student to repeat the process. Here are the independent lines.
the freezing air of a February morning
shiny shoes running for their dreams
Death is a shining star in the dark sky
the first time that I saw you I went crazy
maggots eating away at the flesh of a rotting dog
you look at me when I am taking a bath
their love blossomed like an English garden in the spring
the boy with brown hair and eyes walks down a lonely street
I feel him looking at me with those ghostly eyes
my mother's arms, soothing my soul, pacifying my anger, caressing my uneased heart, keeping my blood running warm
and the blood came gushing out of his throat and landed in my eye
the Dark Age clears through my dark soul
as white as the Arctic Circle in winter
the smoke rises from the coffin
